192 Brewing Co., was the 38th visit on my bucket list of Washington State breweries. I found 192 Brewing using my Untappd app.
This is a pretty unique location. You’re better off viewing the photos on this one, as my description of the place may not do it justice. When you arrive you get the impression you’re entering a junkyard of sorts. This junkyard is actually their outdoor beer garden, complete with tree stumps, light landscaping, wood chips and assorted patio furniture. There is a small front room with plywood floors and an even smaller bar where the taps are located. It wasn’t until I followed the signs to the restroom that I discovered an entire warehouse room in the back that contains a variety of mismatched tables and chairs, foosball games, pool table, artwork, and just random storage areas. These elements combined with the dim lighting makes you feel as if you’re hanging out in an old basement.
This place is dog friendly and they do serve food. Their tap list included 12 beers, mostly guest taps. As usual, I tried all 4 of their beers that included the following:
- Shticky Blonde – Pours a hazy golden color with a thin head. Little bit of grain and honey. Not great. Not bad. Easy drinking summer beer. ABV: 6.2%, IBU: unknown
- Lake Trail Pale Ale – Pours a golden color with no head. Bready flavors and aromas. I was thinking the carbonation or fermentation was not right on this beer. Not my favorite. ABV: 4.4%, IBU: 38
- Granny’s Apple Ale – Pours a cloudy orange color with a thin white head and served with a cinnamon stick. Tart green apple and spice flavors. Light wheat texture. Easy drinking and refreshing. ABV: 6.0%, IBU: unknown
- ‘Nilla Stout – Dark brown in color with a tan head, lacking carbonation. Artificial vanilla aromas and dry roasted malt flavors. ABV: 5.0%, IBU: unknown
