Issaquah Brewhouse was the 19th visit on my bucket list of Washington State breweries. This brewery is located on the Eastside of Seattle in the heart of downtown Issaquah.
Acquired by Rogue Ale’s in 2000, this brewpub has a full menu, full service and multi-tap bar, a 15 barrel system visible from the street, bike friendly, dog friendly, offers beer-to-go, rogue merchandise, open 365 days a year and is also family friendly with a variety of games for kids and special menu options.
The traditional rogue ales are available as well as their flagship beers, specific to this location.
A few of the samples:
- Frosty Frog – Strong ale – Dark amber in color with a small tan head. Aromas of toffee and raisins. Sweet and malty. Booze is a little strong on this one. ABV: 9.5%
- White Frog – Belgian White – Pours a hazy straw yellow color. Hints of autumn spices and citrus. Tastes of wheat and malt, a little sweet with a dry finish. ABV: 5.2%
- Ménage À Frog – Abbey Tripel – Pours a copper color with minimal head, leaving a slight lacing on the glass. Hints of caramel and sweet aromas. Lots of Candi sugar. Alcohol is evident. ABV: 9%
