Born from a small group of women with the idea that women networking with each other could change the world. How amazing does this sound?
I have been a member of the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA), off and on during my tenure in the jewelry industry. Previously as a member of the WJA – Los Angeles chapter while living in southern California and most recently on the board of directors for the WJA – Seattle Chapter.
“The founders of the Women’s Jewelry Association also believed women could act as mentors, provide scholarships and seed money for new entrants into the industry, and recognize women’s talents and accomplishments.” – WJA
We have a great group of women and men (yes, men may join) that offers an incredible membership opportunity to connect with professionals in the jewelry and watch industries. The local Seattle chapter participates in many networking events, provides skill development courses, organizes guest lectures, assists with career services, scholarship opportunities and more.
WJA Mission Statement:
To help women in the jewelry and watch industries advance and develop professionally through networking, education, leadership development, and the provision of member services.
WJA Vision Statement:
To be the premier business networking organization dedicated to enriching and advancing the professional lives of the women in the jewelry and watch industries.
Meeting new people and forming meaningful business relationships is the hallmark of the Women’s Jewelry Association and its world-wide network of members.
If you’re interested in learning more, consider attending our annual chapter-wide membership drive and celebration – Jewelry Night Out – September 15th, 2016. For one night all WJA members and prospective members across all chapters gather and raise a glass to toast our fellow jewelry friends and colleagues. Find an event near you
